Midway Staffing is hiring Production Assemblers for an immediate opening in Lake Forest, IL! We are seeking dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with their hands and take pride in producing quality products. Location: Lake Forest, IL

Schedule: Monday – Friday 6-230pm

Pay Rate:

Starting at $18.00/hour (or update with the correct pay rate if different)

Position Summary:

The Production Assembler is responsible for assembling industrial seating and ergonomic office chairs while maintaining company quality standards, productivity goals, and safety procedures. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assemble industrial seating and ergonomic office chairs according to work instructions.

• Organize materials and maintain an efficient work area.

• Report to work on time and ready to perform assigned duties.

• Follow directions from supervisors and production leads.

• Read and interpret pick tickets to ensure accurate assembly.

• Align components, install foam and covers, and torque fasteners as required.

• Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.

• Process returned materials (RMAs) as directed.

• Notify supervisors of damaged or substandard materials, tools, or equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including tools and storage racks.

• Cross-train and rotate to different workstations as needed.

• Follow all manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and company safety policies.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand and power tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and responsibilities.

• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.

• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
