Job Description
Janitorial - 1st Shift
The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the facility. This role ensures a safe and healthy environment for employees, customers, and visitors by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Location: Kenosha, WI
Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday | 05:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Duties:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
- Empty trash and recycling bins; dispose of waste properly
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and equipment
- Follow cleaning schedules and checklists
- Operate cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, etc.)
- Report maintenance or safety issues to management
- Follow all safety guidelines and use cleaning chemicals properly
Requirements:
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Work Environment & PPE:
- Indoor and/or outdoor cleaning depending on facility
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment
